Dogs, Cameras & Heart Moments – My Photo Workshop at NF Footstep

Anyone who knows me knows: I love dogs. And I love photography. When both come together, my heart beats faster. I recently experienced exactly that at a photography workshop at NF Footstep – a place that's much more than just a dog school.

NF Footstep is passionate about dogs – not only through training and coaching, but also through a dog sanctuary for vulnerable four-legged friends. Here, dogs aren't simply "trained," but rather understood, supported, and cared for. This is precisely the spirit that characterized my workshop.

I was able to immerse myself in the world of dog photography with a motivated group. We not only discussed technique, but above all learned how to capture a dog's character on camera—its energy, its facial expressions, its personality.

And yes, the whole thing is twice as fun with dogs. Their authenticity, their playful nature, their little quirks – all of this brings life to every picture. And somehow, to your own heart, too. Because anyone who has ever encountered an animal through the lens knows: there's more going on than just a technical interplay of light and focus.

For me, this workshop wasn't just a job, but a true passion project. The combination of creativity, community, and animal energy always gives me a lot. It was loud, lively, wild—and that's exactly why it was so beautiful.

I'm already looking forward to the next photography workshop this fall at NF Footstep. If you're interested in participating or want to learn more, you can find all the information here: https://www.nf-footstep.ch/link-workshops/hundefotografie

Thanks to all participants, to the entire NF Footstep team – and to the dogs who once again captured my heart.
